The Diamond Club
Aug 3rd
I highly doubt anyone remembers this, but a LONG time ago I wrote up a fake-for-fun contract regarding my approach to relationships or the potential of one. It was a big joke albeit with a lot of sensical requirements/promises to keep relationships at bay.
The end of the contract provided a void of warranty statement in the event a female joined The Diamond Club, an exclusive club overseen by me that upon its first and only exclusively female member enrollment, would effectively void any obligation I have towards any of you that the contract held me to.

Review: Inception (2010 Film)
Jul 20th
Let me throw this out here right off the bat (pun intended)…
I truly admire Christopher Nolan because of what he did to the Batman film franchise, and for probably what he’ll do for the Superman franchise. These are big studio films, and his previous works were smaller budget, and I think truly prepared Nolan first, in the ability to tell a story. The amount of hands that go into putting a film out to theaters are numerous, and Nolan’s films have seemed to survive the studio edits and put forth a wonderful, worthwhile, movie experience that satisfies both the intellectual moviegoer and the recreational moviegoer.
Some of you might be remarking, “What do you mean intellectual vs. recreational?”

Superman Returns: Years Later
Jun 30th
I love the character of Superman, particularly the Christopher Reeve incarnation that we first saw in 1978 in

Superman: The Movie.
As a little boy, during my time in Okinawa, my dad would go to the local movie store and rent Beta tapes of the movies we had most likely missed being overseas and all. It was during 1985-1987 that I first remember seeing all three original Star Wars films, and the first Superman movies. These movies had come out in 1977, 1978, 1980, and 1983. By 1985, I was only three.
The impact of Reeve’s first Superman film has stuck with me my entire life. One of my dad’s friends in Okinawa had purchased the soundtrack on vinyl, and during a visit to his home, played the record for us. I remember my excitement, so much that I spread my arms and did the proverbial run-around-the-room as fast as I safely could with my arms spread wide… so much so, that later in life I too purchased the original soundtrack two-disc special edition.
