Seventh: Ten Things I Think I Miss

1. Natalie Portman – Beautiful, educated, speaks another language… and not tabloid fodder.
2. The 50′s. For some reason if I were to go back to live in another period of American history I’d do the 1950′s, particularly 54-59. Why? Well, soda shops, music, dating… Happy Days…. it just seems like it was a more joyous time to be alive.
3. The 80′s. We look back at it and laugh at the big hair, remark on the dangers of aerosol, but we always go back and remember the greatness of Sting and The Police, Phil Collins, the great rock ballads of Bon Jovi and countless other big hair bands…oh yeah, and Stryper. Would we listen to these seriously these days as if we enjoyed them? Probably not, but we listen anyways… to remember a former time in life where it was okay to be an absolute fashion miscreant. Sixth: Ten Things I Think I Miss and some other stuff.

I told someone a long time ago, “You are not a whore.” even though how she had lived her life prior to our conversation and her knowing that I was aware of that disagreed with me. However, I told her what she was by saying what she isn’t. It’s the power of the tongue to effectively communicate perhaps what should be the truth in a constructive way even though the evidence suggests that I lied. (Ryan pointed out the fact I actually lied to tell the truth by the way) More >
